Penney To Return

Dave Penney will return to Doncaster in the New Year. His Darlington side will take on Rovers in the Northern Area Semi-Final of the JPT.

Penney will not be returning to Belle Vue, as the match will take place at the new Keepmoat Stadium. The game will take place on the week commencing the 8th January.

Dave Penney is regarded as the greatest manager in the clubs history. Penney left Rovers at the end of August. Penney took Rovers up from the Conference to 8th in the League One, the highest the club has finished for over 50 years.

With us having a home draw it could mean the gate is larger then normal for a JPT game, espcially with the reduced admission fee and the fact that it will be in the new stadium

Wonderful to have him coming back and to be one of the first visiting managers, I hope he gets the reception he deserves.
