'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Theo Rams Down The Trees

The last game at Belle Vue saw the former European Champions and League One pace-setters roll in to town. By the end of the match, any neutral spectator would have come to the conclusion that it was the red and white hoops of Doncaster that were top of League One. Forest were spineless and showed a lack of desire to create or any ability to win throughout the 90 minutes. Top of the league - Forest are having a laugh!

The game was settled when a Theo Streete cross ended up in the back of the Forest net. Paul Smith, in the Forest goal, made a number of good saves throughout the game but he took his eye off the ball and fumbled Theo 'Quality' Streete cross/shot into his own net. Of course, this automatically gave Streete the Doncaster Star man of the match award. The impressive midfield partnership of Stock and Green were the real stars for Rovers as they won tackle after tackle.

On this performance Rovers have to believe that 'Destination Championship' is back on the agenda. Rovers are in rich form at the moment, when you consider that the squad has suffered a number of injuries, who knows what 2007 could bring.

It was a fitting tribute to end Rovers stay at Fortress Belle Vue, though it was disappointing that the attendance was way below capacity.
