Darlo To Sign Ex-Rovers

According to the rumour mill, a number of ex Rovers players are going to be re-joining Dave Penney at Darlington.

Mark Albrighton - Boston United

Currently on loan at Darlington. Sarge was a member of the Rovers squad that won promotion from the Conference and the Division Three Championship.

Gregg Blundell - Chester City

Darlington have made an offer for the former Rovers striker. Blundell is out of contract in the summer.

Dave Mulligan - Scunthorpe United

Scunthorpe will allow Mully to go out on loan. Darlo are a number of clubs who are interested in him.

Ricky Ravenhill - Grimsby Town.

Ravers left Rovers in the summer. Its rumoured that Darlo have made a bid for the midfielder.

Dave Wheater - Middlesborough

Darlo have signed the 'Boro defender on loan, and he will make his Darlo debut on Jan 1st. Wheater enjoyed a succesful loan spell at Belle Vue last season.

I thought we should have signed Wheater. He was excellent for us last season. All the above players served Rovers well.
