Winning Start At The New Place

Rovers fans witnessed fireworks before, during and after, as the red and white wizards romped to a three-nil victory against Huddersfield Town.

Mark McCammon became the first player to score at the stadium after nine minutes. Fellow strikers, Jonathan Forte and Paul Heffernan both got themselves on the scoresheet too.

Huddersfield were reduced to nine men midway through the second half. Ahmed was dismissed for a shocking tackle and Abbott was spotted throwing a punch in the melee which followed.

Gareth Roberts was sent off late on for a two-footed lunge.
