Another Ex-Rover Joins Darlington

Tim Ryan has become the latest former Rover to rejoin Dave Penney at Darlington.

Dave Penney said: 'I know all about Tim from his days with me at Belle Vue and he has great experience of promotion campaigns at this level.'

"He is thirty-two, played at this level for a good few years with me and I`ve had two successive promotions with him. He also played at Peterborough and Boston United so he knows the game inside out. He is a tough, no nonsense defender and I feel we need some of that in the club."

Ryan has joined Darlington for an undisclosed fee, and has signed an 18 month contract.

The popular defender left Rovers following an incident in a mid-season training camp over a year a go.

Ryan was a member of the Rovers squad that won back-to-back promotion.

I think Dave Penney has put a petition in to rename the team Darlington Rovers and he's trying to teach the supporters all the required songs
