Doncaster Go Shopping In Bury?

Doncaster Rovers are rumoured to be interested in a defender from Bury, thought to be John Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald started his career at Blackburn Rovers before joining Bury on loan at the end of the 2004/2005 season. Blackburn released the defender and he moved to Gigg Lane on a two-year deal.

To date, he has made 59 appearances and six subsitute appearances for the Shakers, and has scored twice. His last start for Bury was on the 5th December against Walsall.

Fitzgerald has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 21 level.
