'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Scunthorpe Boss On Doncaster Rovers

Speaking after holding on to a point, the Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins had this to say:

'When they came back at us like that they were on fire and could've gone on to score two or three more,

'But it just shows the strength of character and resilience of my players that they managed to keep them out.

'Make no mistake about it, Doncaster are a top-drawer side in this division.

'Although we were disappointed to draw after being in front, to come here and take a point with the injury and suspension problems we have is a great result.

'I was just pleased for the fans because some of the football was a joy to watch.'

A lot of fans keep expecting them to fall away but at the moment its not happening, a lot depends on holding onto keogh and sharp this month.

It's the sign of a good team when they can come to the keepmoat stadium, get two break away goals, and then by under the cosh for the rest of the game and come away with a point. If they go up they'll have to have a massive change of personell, there's no way you can play like that in the championship regularly and get away with it.
