Budtz Next To Leave

Goalkeeper Jan Budtz has today joined Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a one month loan deal.

Budtz is the second keeper to head out of the Keepmoat in as many days, following Alan Blayney's departure. This means Rovers only have Ben Smith, although maybe able to field coach Barry Richardson should the need arise.

It is rumoured that Leeds keeper Neil Sullivan is set to rejoin Rovers in the next few days, which would explain the exodus.

we must surely be bringing somebody in as we now only have baz richardson as cover for ben smith.

Jan is on a 24 hr call back. so cover is not an issue. Something mustbe in the pipeline with regard a keeper.

Strange situation. Blayney leaves and now Budtz goes. I did hear that SOD had told Budtz that his contract would not be renewed at the end of the season.

is budz your 1st choice keeper?
swanzboichris
swanzboichris: I think we're down to a "no choice" situation with keepers until we sign another keeper. I think it's pretty obvious that we're going to get an announcement about sullivan in the next 24 hours. Then we'll have Gilbert and Sullivan!!!......sorry guys.
