DRFC Rovers Set To Miss Key Duo For The Rest Of The Season
Doncaster Rovers could have to try and clinch the League Two title without key players in the final four games of the season.
Both Andy Williams and James Coppinger look set to miss the rest of the season and goalkeeper Ian Lawlor looks set to miss the clash with Blackpool on Monday as he struggles to overcome a chest injury he suffered against Mansfield Town last weekend.
"Williams pulled his calf and will be out for three weeks so could miss the rest of the season," Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield .
"Coppinger felt his groin so he could also miss the rest of the season.
"Lawlor had the knock against Mansfield. He had trained all week and then went down for a low ball in training and he was in a lot of pain."
The trio all missed the draw at Colchester United on Friday. The point sees Doncaster remain six points clear at the top of League Two with just four games remaining after closest rivals Plymouth Argyle drew at Portsmouth.
Six points from the final four games should be enough for Doncaster to clinch the title as they have a far superior goal difference over Plymouth.
Doncaster face four tough games in the run-in to the season. Blackpool, Exeter City and Wycombe Wanderers are all still fighting for a play-off place and Hartlepool United fighting relegation.
