Doncaster Boss On Crewe

Doncaster Boss On Crewe

Speaking after last nights dramatic three-all draw with Crewe, the Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll said:

'Crewe did what they were good at. They didn't get fazed when they should have been out of it at 2-0 down.

'They withstood a lot of pressure and got back into the game with some quality goals. But we responded in the right way.

'They should have been dead and buried and we are disappointed the tie isn't over. It should have been put to bed.

'If we weren't playing a side of the quality of Crewe we would have been sitting pretty.

'Paul Heffernan had a late chance to score but the ball bobbled and he missed it.

'We are not a side that can sit on a lead. We can't seem to see teams off - that is not one of our strengths.'

a few first team defenders missing, I think they will be in for the return leg.

We had 24 shots and they had 6. We must learn to put more chances away. Let again we only played for 45 minutes.

Coppinger wasn't playing either. I agree it wasn't really treated like a "final", the home leg will the true occasion.
