DRFC Rowe To Lead Rovers To Cup Success?
Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers meet in the first round of the Carabao Cup this evening.
The Yorkshire duo are both hoping for a good season in League One this season but would also welcome a good cup run.
Bradford have happy memories of the competition in recent years having reached the final as a League Two side in 2013.
Doncaster enjoyed their best run in the competition in 2005 where they eventually lost to Arsenal in a penalty shoot-out in the quarter-final after conceding an injury time equaliser in extra-time.
SkyBet make Bradford 17/20 favourites to progress in 90 minutes with Doncaster 16/5 and it is 12/5 to go into extra-time.
Omari Patrick scored on his Bradford debut in the 2-1 win against Blackpool on Saturday. Patrick joined Bradford in the summer, he will be looking to continue from his debut goal against Blackpool, and he is 8/1 to score the first goal.
Doncaster will be hoping for another big season from Tommy Rowe. The winger scored 13 goals for Doncaster in their promotion season last season. Rowe is 10/1 to score the first goal.
