Last night, a BBC Yorkshire programme highlighted the difference between the match day cost and experience between Monaco and Leeds United. The programme also highlighted that is was cheaper to watch Real Madrid than to watch Doncaster Rovers. You can watch the BBC programme by clicking here

the big clubs like Man utd, arsenal, chelsea and liverpool will always fill the ground so they can charge what they like (liverpool & man utd are cheaper than most premiership clubs). I cannot afford to go every week, for me and her indoors to go to a home game usually costs around £100 with petrol, food and everything so how someone can afford to take a family to watch a game defeats me. what will happen to the next generation of supporters they will simply disappear and follow the big clubs on the tv.

I think it just serves to enlarge the divide between the premiership and the rest of the leagues.
