Whiteman In Team Of The Week (10/10/17)

Whiteman In Team Of The Week (10/10/17)

Doncaster Rovers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Ben Whiteman in the four one victory over Southend United at the weekend at the Keepmoat Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Whiteman was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'It only took 10 minutes for Whiteman to confirm his place in this week's selection, netting a quick-fire hat-trick for Doncaster against Southend United. The Sheffield United loanee's treble include one stunning strike, and helped his side to a first home win of the season.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Whiteman for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Dave Richards (Crewe Alexandra), Dan Potts (Luton Town), Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic), Richard Wood (Rotherham United), Pierce Sweeney (Exeter City), Ebere Eze (Wycombe Wanderers), Jake Reeves (Bradford City), Sean Murray (Colchester United), Ben Whiteman (Doncaster Rovers), James Henry (Oxford United), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager - Darrell Clarke (Bristol Rovers).
