Pitch Inspection at Tranmere

Tranmere Rovers have scheduled a pitch inspection for 10am Saturday. Rumours from Tranmere are that as long as there in no further bad weather the game should go ahead and the inspection is, at the moment, just a precaution.

I will be surprised if the game goes ahead.

I hope it get's cancelled, two games in three days is a bit rough. I hope Crewe play today though.

Crewe's game against Scunny for today has been cancelled. We really need our game to be cancelled now otherwise we'll be worn out for Monday.

Rover's game at tranmere is ON according to the football league website

It's a shame that over an hour after I posted the above remark which also coincided with the official Tranmere site announcing the go-ahead, NON of the rovers sites including the official site and doncaster.vitalfootball.co.uk have failed to draw any attention to the fact that the game is to be played. Obviously away supporters aren't required today! When the sites have said there is to be an inspection I think it's fair to assume that they will either display the findings of the inspection or tell you where you will be able to find the result. I think it's a poor service.
ROversNaith
most people who contribute to the sites are probably on route to the game.

Only if they knew it was on surely! The majority of my angst is at the Official site which still (at 1:10pm) has it's only reference to the inspection as "There is a pitch inspection at 10:00am at Prenton Park due to snow fall during the week.".
