Ronnie Moore gives his opinions on Tranmere Rovers one-nil win against Doncaster Rovers.

'It was close but there weren't many shots in the game. We got the goal, and I thought we were the better side. We weren't really hanging on. They played all the football in front of us and not behind us.

'I thought Jason got hold of the ball in midfield and steadied things for us, especially late on. In the past we have been booting it, but at least he has kept hold of the ball. We had one or two half chances on the break and they gave their all. It wasn't the best game of football, conditions didn't really let you get it down and pass it.

'I think at this moment we're better off not going 2-0 up and staying at 1-0, we've done reasonably well at 1-0s. Danny went in when he had to and it took away a bit of our width but it matched them up and stopped them getting on the ball.

'Their centre back (Greame Lee) has snapped Carl in half and got away with it. I thought the referee was quick on the bookings for us and not for them, maybe its because we get up and don't lie down too often. You keep telling your players to get up and get on with it, but they're better off staying down and getting the lad booked.

'The referee was a bit whistle happy, and I don't know where he got four minutes from at the end. But I was never really panicky.'
