DRFC Ferguson - We Didn't Deserve More Than A Draw

Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson admitted he didn`t feel his side deserved more than a point after their draw with Plymouth Argyle at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster had led through a first half Alfie Beestin strike, his first in the league.

Plymouth levelled with 16 minutes remaining when Ryan Edwards fired home and Ferguson felt the second half performance was not good enough to merit a win.

"I don`t think we deserved more than a draw with the performance," Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We weren`t good enough in the second half, we didn`t show enough composure.

"First half, I was pleased, I thought we played well.

"Second half, we didn`t have enough composure and that caused us a problem."

The draw sees Doncaster remain in the top half of the table in twelfth, as they extended their unbeaten run in the league to six games.

In a tight league, Doncaster are eight points away from a play-off place but just six points above the relegation places.

Next up is a trip to second placed Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
