DRFC Scunthorpe United v Doncaster Rovers Team News

Doncaster Rovers will be without duo Andy Butler and Issam Ben Khemis for the trip to Scunthorpe United.

Both have undergone scans today following injuries at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

Mathieu Baudry, who replaced Butler and scored in the 2-2 draw on Saturday, will replace Butler at the heart of the Doncaster defence.

Craig Alcock will be added to the 18-man squad. Alcock was set to leave Doncaster in a loan deal with a League Two side this week but manager Darren Ferguson will wait for the full results on the scans before making a decision whether the defender can leave.

Joe Wright is expected to feature despite picking up a knock at Shrewsbury.

Luke McCullough and Alex Kiwomya are still not ready for a return to first team action having recently returned to training having missed the season so far.

Danny Andrew and Andy Williams remain sidelined through injury.

Scunthorpe manager Graham Alexander could make changes to his side following their disappointing home defeat to Gillingham on Saturday.

Alexander will be looking to get their promotion push back on track in this local derby after missing the chance to close the gap on the automatic promotion places to two points.

Lee Novak, who scored the only goal of the game when the two sides met in the league at Doncaster in September, is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

Cameron McGeehan, Ivan Toney, Conor Townsend and Rory McArdle are all pushing for a starting place.

Matt Gilks is closing in on a return for Scunthorpe but the keeper will not be ready for the clash against Doncaster.

Sam Manton, Luke Williams, Andrew Crofts and Ryan Yates will all be missing for the home side.
