'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gregg Talks About His Darlington

Regarding his move to Darlington, Ex Doncaster Star Gregg Blundell said:

'I gave Ricky (Ravenhill) and Tim (Ryan) a ring about coming here, we've kept in contact since we were at Doncaster.

'Ricky was at Chester with me at the start of the season and he was telling me that there's a decent side here, a good set-up and that helped make my mind up.

'It's always makes it easier if you know people where you're moving to but the other lads I didn't know have made things easier for me so it's a good group here.

'It's nice to be wanted by anyone and obviously I've worked with the gaffer before at Doncaster and while we were there I had a fantastic time.

'I was playing some of the best football I've ever played, so that was half the reason I jumped at the chance to come and work with him up here.'
