DRFC Anderson Up For The Challenge
Defender Tom Anderson says he is looking forward to the challenge after arriving at Doncaster Rovers on loan from Burnley.
Anderson has signed for Doncaster for the remainder of the season from the Premier League side having spent the first half of the season on loan with League Two side Port Vale.
The 24-year-old made 24 appearances during his time at Vale Park and it his fourth loan move in the Football League since 2014 having previously had spells with Carlisle United and Chesterfield, making 91 appearances between the three clubs, and he sees this as more progression in his career.
'I'm looking forward to the challenge and I will give it my all, I try and dominate players in the air and do the basics of being a defender," Anderson told the Doncaster Rovers official website.
'I see this as another progression in my career, the manager was really good with me when we had a conversation about coming here. I know he has a reputation for developing young players so I am looking forward to it.'
Anderson along with fellow new signing Andy Boyle will bolster the Doncaster defence following the injuries to Andy Butler, Joe Wright and Mathieu Baudry in recent weeks and the duo will go straight into the squad for the clash with Portsmouth this weekend.
