Wright Move?

Rumours from the Rovers camp suggest Sheffield United full back Alan Wright is set to move to Doncaster on loan to cover for the injured Gareth Roberts.

Roberts sustained a hamstring injury during the Northern Area Final of the JPT and will miss around six weeks of football. Althought left back Sean McDaid has almost regained fitness and young player Craig Nelthorpe who impressed after coming on as a subsitute on Monday could come in to contention, it looks like O'Driscoll favours a more experienced player.

Wright, 35, has hardly featured for Sheffield United and the loan deal could be with a view to a more permanent deal.

He played well against Swansea, when I saw him I knew he had to be quick, any defender that short HAS to be quick
