O'Driscoll On Crewe Defeat

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll talks about the defeat to Crewe.

'I thought it was a really good game and we played well. I thought both sides defended well and were bright going forward.

'Like a lot of these games the match is decided on what happens in the 18-yard box and they got a chance right at the death and the lad has stuck it in.

'I would have been pleased with a draw because the players have put a lot of effort in. They are a bit down and disappointed but when you play a team four times, it is odds on that you are going to lose somewhere.

'They had a bit of luck with the first goal. I had Ben (Rix) at Bournemouth last season and that has got to be the first ever goal he has scored with his head!

'Crewe didn't want to be beaten by Doncaster again and it was a competitive game. It wasn't a dirty game by any stretch of the imagine because both teams are not like that.

'They have scored a late winner, like we did in the cup-tie and that's football. It is all about swings and roundabouts and you just to take it on the chin.'
