Jeremy Milnes, Commercial Director at the Keepmoat Stadium has used the letter page in the Doncaster Free Press to hit back at fans claims that the Stadium Management Company are spoiling the Keepmoat Stadium and not keeping to promises made before they took over.
'Everyone connected with the Stadium Management Company is working to ensure that the Keepmoat Stadium is a huge success for the town and a fitting home for all the teams that play here.
'This is reflected in the community facilities we offer, which are already proving a big hit with a wide cross-section of people, and the match-day offering which is of a standard that compares highly with any modern venue.
'There have, at no time, been promises made with reference to pricing at the stadium and our match day bar has been developed in the manner it was originally planned.
'It is a hugely popular choice for supporters of both the Rovers and Lakers wanting to enjoy a drink in modern surroundings.
'The prices charged throughout the stadium, are more than competative for what is on offer and when you compare them with those in other grounds, as our comprehensive recent review showed, we are firmly within the lower price bracket.
With reference to ticketing, as agreed with all clubs, we act as a ticketing agent for games and are required to pass on a very minimal administration charge for every ticket purchased with a credit or debit card.
'Whether people are at the stadium to see a game or use the other facilities, everything is geared up to ensure they have the best possible experience.
'From our highly trained stewards, who are there to ensure a safe environment and have been praised by many, to the dozens of successful children's parties we have held, there are a wide range of people who have been vocal in their praise.
In addition, clubs have the ability to conduct tours of the stadium through their community initiatives, such as Football in the Community and we hope this arrangement will allow even more people to see and enjoy the stadium.
'Keepmoat Stadium is a fantastic facility that has so much to give supporters and the people of Doncaster. I am more than confident that visitors will continue to enjoy their experience and the facility will remain an important part of Doncaster life.'
