Thornton Raring To Go

Record signing Sean Thorton is raring to finally kick start his Doncaster career.

The midfielder has been plagued by injuries since his 17500 summer switch from Sunderland and most recently went under the knife to cure a persistent ankle problem.

He made his first appearance for more than six weeks in Tuesday's LDV win over Barnsley. The 22 year old started on the bench, but helped the team to a 5-2 rout.

'I'm glad I had the operation to clear up the injury that has stopped me playing since I came here.

'It was good to be back as it's been a while now and it was good to be involved.

'I feel really strong and really fit with no problems.'
