John Ryan On Cup Win

John Ryan On Cup Win

John Ryan comments after Doncaster Rovers win the JPT:

'It's a proud day for me but I must have died a thousand deaths after being two goals in front.

'I've been the chairman for nine years now and we've had some hard times but today was a special day.

'All credit to Bristol Rovers. I thought they fought very hard and gave us a real scare.

'I only hope some of the fans here today will come and watch us at the Keepmoat and our major objective now is to get into the Championship.'

Congrats to Doncaster. I don't think we deserved to lose, but don't think Donny deserved to lose either. Our boys did us proud coming back from 2-0 after 5 minutes against a higher division club. We seemed to just sit back and soak up the pressure towards the end of ET and that seemed to cost us. It must've been one hell of a game for the neutral. Best of luck to Donny for the rest of the season. You've got a great team there that could do great things (see today for example :P)!

Well put Gashead I thought your team and fans did Bristol Rovers proud and you never stopped singing even in the last minutes of extra time. You was the better team after the first five minutes and like you said I think you was very unlucky to lose. Good luck for the rest of the season and I hope we can meet again next year.
