Foster gone

Just what is going on at Belle Vue? The club captain has left by mutual consent 24 hours after the players returned from a short break in Cyprus. It is unclear if the trip and Foster's departure are linked. The club announced yesterday that Greame Lee was discussing personal terms over a possible move to Belle Vue, and this could be another reason as to why Steve Foster has left. With no proper explanation as to why this move has occurred, rumours are already rife.

Foster's contract was up in the summer, but many fans were expecting Mark Albrighton to depart during January and not the club captain.

Foster, early in the season was linked with a loan move to Bristol Rovers but that never materialised. Many believe that he could be moving to Oakwell very soon, as the Tykes are in the market for a centre back.

Foster's contribution to getting Rovers out of the Football Conference and into League One will never be forgotten.
