Foster Links Up With Former Boss

In a move which has surprised Rovers fans, former captain Steve Foster has joined Darlington after rejecting a new contract at Championship side Scunthorpe United.

Foster left Rovers during Dave Penney's reign and rumours spread that the player had had a falling out with the manager.

However, Foster is the latest in a line of players 'rumoured' to have fallen out with Penney to rejoin him, leading fans to believe that all may not have been as they were told.

Darlington now have Foster (who will captain the side), Tim Ryan, Ricky Ravenhill and Gregg Blundell in their ranks and will be hoping to gain promotion next season.

He obviously thought he was going to be replaced at Scunny during the summer. Its a good signing for a league two club, they could be worth a little flutter next season.
