Hayter To Doncaster

Bournemouth Kevin Bond gives his view on the proposed James Hayter bid by Doncaster Rovers. It is beleived that Rovers have had a bid in the region of £200k accepted for the striker.

Kevin Bond, who replaced Sean O'Driscoll said:'From our point of view, I would be keen for him to stay here and I explained that to him so hopefully we can sit down and talk to him about that further.

'I think he's giving himself some time just to see if any other offers come in from potentially better clubs. I know he would like to play at as high a level as he can and I understand that. I think he's waiting to see if anything comes in that is more to his liking than what is on the table at the moment.'

If thats true then he's not wanted. You want players who are going to be fullt commited and not just with you because nobody else came in with a better offer.

I agree Dazza but is it Bond trying to throw a spanner in the works? Would we like to lose aplayer of his quality.

It seemed daft to announce the clubs had agreed a fee so soon after the season and no talks between Donny and Hayter had taken place, I don't think he will sign!
