Budtz Goes To Hartlepool

Jan Budtz who had a loan spell at Wolves last season has joined Hartlepool.

The Danish goal-keeper, who was released by Sean O'Driscoll has completed a move to Hartlepool United.

The Big Dane made national newspapers on his Rovers debut after his penalty shootout saves in the Carling Cup tie against Manchester City. The Rovers chairman described Budtz at the time 'as the next Schmeichel'.

Budtz enjoyed a successful loan spell at Wolves last season after falling out with Sean O'Driscoll.
