FA charge

FA charge

The FA have charged both Rovers and Scunthorpe United under FA Rule E20(a) for failing to ensure that its
players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

The charge relates to a mass brawl that occurred after James Coppinger's challenge on Ian Barrowclough. Coppinger was sent off for the tackle. Scunthorpe United forward, also saw red for hitting Coppinger in the melee.

The two clubs have until 7th February to respond. It is understood that Rovers deny the charge and will take the case to the FA.

The FA have not yet charged Steve Torpay, who appeared to push the referee after he was sent off.
