Boston turn bid down

It has emerged that Rovers had a five-figure bid for Boston United striker Julian Joachim turned down.

Steve Evans said 'The offer was a good one, but I've made my feelings clear that I didn't want Julian to leave the club'. It is understood that Evans threaten to resign, if the striker was sold.

The 31 year old has scored 12 goals for the Pilgrims this season.
