Heffernan Misses FA Cup Clash

Sean O'Driscoll has been handed a blow ahead of tonight's FA Cup first round replay with League One rivals Oldham, with the news that Paul Heffernan will miss out.

The draw back of Doncaster's 3-1 away win at Port Vale on Saturday was the first half ankle injury to Heffernan, which will keep the striker out of Tuesday nights replay. James Coppinger replaced him at Port Vale, so he is expected to do the same tonight.

This is the third Cup meeting the two sides have had this season, and so far Doncaster remain unbeaten, the original Cup tie ended 2-2 at Boundary Park, and Doncaster beat Oldham 3-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Fellow League One side Crewe await the winners of this match in round two on Saturday.

Heff's certainly isn't having much luck this season with injuries. Luckily Lewis Guy seems to have finally found his shooting boots and with Hayter currently in a very good run of form we look ok in the striker department.
