Doncaster Crash Out Of The FA Cup

Doncaster's FA Cup dream is over for another years after Oldham came back from a goal down to win 2-1 and knock them out of the FA Cup in Tuesday night's first round replay.

Mark McCammon gave Doncaster a 25th minute lead, which they held until the stroke of half time when Neil Kilkenny equalised from 25 yards. Less than five minutes after the restart a mistake from James O'Connor allowed Gary McDonald to score what proved to be the winner.

Despite Oldham having Neal Trotman sent off near the end they held on to win and set up a second round tie with Crewe on Saturday, Doncaster on the other hand can contemplate what might have been.

Obviously I would have really enjoyed a decent run in the FA Cup this year, especially seeing as we would have met Everton in the 3rd round! However, as Dazza71 pointed out we now have no real excuse for not fulfilling our potential in the league.

Not the result you was expecting but Oldaham are a good side when on form. You now can concentrate on the league.
