Halifax Town Re-Think Over Griffith

21 year old Anthony Griffith has been hit with a 5 match suspension after picking up yet another red card against Farsley.

This latest incident took Griffith's red card tally to a total of 3 over the course of the season so far.

The midfielder who is on loan from league one side Doncaster Rovers, has also spent time out on loan at Oxford United, Stafford Rangers and ex Rovers boss Dave Penney's Darlington.

Halifax Tow manager Chris Wilder was confident that Griffith would be set to join Halifax on a permanent deal sometime in the near future but the latest sending off has forced him to reconsider.

'We were looking to take him permanently but I won't be now. I can't afford to keep losing him for several games,' Wilder told his club website.

'I want them to compete but it is a ridiculous situation at the moment and he needs to think long and hard about it.'.

He'll probably end up back at Darlington with Penney.
