DRFC - Rovers out of bottom three

Doncaster travelled to South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United hoping to continue with their recent good run of form.

Rovers made four changes from the side that drew in the cup on Saturday, into the side came Lockwood, Van Nieuwstadt, Chambers and Price in place of Roberts, Guy, Coppinger and Hird.

The first half never really saw a good chance for either side with both clubs only having shots from long distance to show for their efforts and the sides went in 0-0 at half time.

Doncaster made the break through in the first five minutes of the second half when James O`Connor`s effort found the back of the net.

Sheffield battled but never looked like breaking down a solid Rovers defence and looked threatening every time they broke.

A fantastic win for Rovers there first ever victory at Bramall Lane, a victory that takes Rovers out of the bottom three.

Finally out of the bottom three after four straight wins, surely O'Driscoll will get the manager of the month!?!?
