DRFC - Rovers held at home

Doncaster Rovers entertained Norwich City hoping to continue their recent run of improved form that has seen them get out of the bottom three.

Rovers made four changes from the side that defeated Sheffield United in midweek, in came Heffernan, Wilson, Hird and Coppinger for Lockwood, Price, Woods and Van Nieuwstadt.

Rovers took a first half lead when Paul Heffernan headed in from six yards out.

Norwich equalised when Jonathon Grounds headed in just after the hour mark.

Rovers tried their hardest to find a winner without really testing the Norwich keeper, only James Coppinger seriously threatening Marshall in the Norwich goal.

Teams:

Rovers
Sullivan, O`Connor, Mills, Hird, Chambers, Coppinger, Stock, Wellens, Spicer, Heffernan, Wilson.
Subs: Byfield, Lockwood, Roberts, Taylor, Guy.

Norwich
Marshall, Otsomber, Croft, Clingan, Cureton, Doherty, Hoolahan, Grounds, Fotheringham, Russell, Bertrand.
Subs: Drury, Lupoli, Pattison, Nelson, Cort.

Would have been a fantastic three points if we could have won.

Still, not that bad a result for you I don't think

With the form we are in and Norwich are in it should have been three points especially as they all play again in midweek so we could be in the bottom three again before we play.
