Rovers take the points

Doncaster entertained Crystal Palace in their final home game of the season safe in the knowledge that Championship football next season is already secured.

Doncaster broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time, Dean Shiels scoring his first goal for the club.

Rovers clinched all three points midway through the second half when James Hayter`s lot shot beat the keeper from just inside the box.

A fantastic chance to finish in the top half if they can get something at Wolves. I would have been dragged off to the funny farm if I'd have said that at Christmas!

When you look at the league table Doncaster have won enough games to be well inside the top ten. Not enough draws to make up the extra points - they are either hot or cold. But they can work on that next season.
