Lockwood earns Rovers a point

Doncaster Rovers
1 - 1
Preston North End

Keepmoat

15/08/09 3pm

Attendance: 10,070

Referee:

Doncaster and Preston shared the points in a hard fought game at the Keepmoat.

Rovers gave a debut to Jason Shackell who is on loan from Wolves.

Ex Doncaster Rovers loan player Chris Brown once again was Rovers main tormentor giving Preston the lead in the first half. Brown scored the first goal in the same game last season.

Rovers claimed a point, which their second half performance deserved when defender Adam Lockwood equalised with ten minutes remaining.

In an exciting finish both sides had chances to win the game, both keepers were in fantastic form to keep their sides level.
