Nottingham Forest 4 - Doncaster Rovers 1

City Ground

28/11/09 3pm

Attendance: 22,035

Rovers chopped down by the trees

Rovers were well beaten by a Forest side that increased their unbeaten run to ten games.

Forest led 1-0 at half time thanks to an own goal from Gareth Roberts after a cross from Majewski.

Wes Morgan doubled the lead when he rose to head in from a corner.

Robert Earnshaw`s scuffed shot found it`s way past an injured Neil Sullivan in the Rovers goal.

Ben Smith replaced Sullivan in net and he was quickly picking the ball out of the back of the net when Lewis McGugan scored with his first touch after coming on as a substitute.

Rovers scored a consolation when Billy Sharp headed in.

A disappointing defeat for Rovers after such a good victory against QPR last weekend.

They now have to try to end their away day blues with another away fixture at Crystal Palace next weekend.

Your away form needs to pick up, can't see you getting much next week at Palace either.

I think that shows the difference in the summer. Two clubs who came up together in 2008, had similar seasons last term but Forest went out and strengthened in the summer whilst Rovers didn't. Now they look like possible promotion contenders whilst we are struggling near the foot of the table
