Sharp claims points for Rovers

Doncaster Rovers enjoyed back to back victories for the first time this season with a hard fought 1-0 win over South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

Rovers stuck with the same side that defeated Crystal Palace at the weekend for the game.

The only goal of the game came inside the final fifteen minutes when Billy Sharp, who is on loan from Wednesday`s steel city neighbours United gave Grant no chance in the Wednesday goal with a powerful header.

The goal was his seventh in his last eight games as he is beginning to produce the form he showed when at Scunthorpe United, prior to joining Sheffield United.

I said on here the other day he was a banker for the first goal, wish I'd have backed him.

We just need to make sure w can hold onto Sharp in January, all these goals might get a few people interested.
