Sharp-shooter on target again

Doncaster Rovers and Billy Sharp both continued with their great starts to December, with a 2-0 win at Derby County.

The win was Rovers fourth in four games during the month and their fourth straight clean sheet.

Sharp scored Rovers opener just past the twenty minute mark to make it six games in a row that he`s scored and nine in the last ten.

Mark Wilson came close to doubling the lead in the first half when his superb volley was turned over by Bywater in the Derby goal.

Rob Hulse came on in the second half for the Rams and caused Rovers a few problems but he wasn`t going to beat veteran keeper Neil Sullivan.

James Coppinger wrapped up the points for Rovers in the last minute of the game after slack work in the Derby defence gifted him the ball. He coolly beat Bywater to the delight of the travelling fans.

Another great win and the club now sit nicely in eleventh place and only four points outside the play offs.

Great scoring record for Sahrp, the problem is some clubs might now want to sign him.
