Late goal sends Rovers through

Doncaster Rovers progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to a late goal from James O`Connor at Griffin Park.

O`Connor`s headed goal was enough to separate the sides after Brentford keeper Price had kept the home side in it with a string of good saves.

Brentford missed a glorious chance to take the game to a replay with almost the last kick of the match when substitute Sam Saunders missed with an header from close range.

Rovers will now travel to Derby County on Saturday for a place in the fifth round.

A great win, Brentford was always going to be a difficult game on a difficult pitch for playing football on.
