Doncaster Rovers 1 - Crystal Palace 1

Keepmoat

27/02/10 3pm

Attendance: 9,779

Rovers held at home

Doncaster Rovers had to settle for a point after enjoying most of the play at The Keepmoat.

Doncaster`s new signing from Arsenal Jay Emmanuel - Thomas started on the bench for Rovers as the home side made two changes from the side that lost to Leicester in midweek.

James Hayter and Sam Hird replaced Dean Shiels and Jordan Mutch as the club looked to end their run of two consecutive defeats.

Rovers took the lead when Wilson teed up Coppinger who powered his shot into the top corner of the net from long range.

Crystal Palace equalised halfway through the second half, good work by Ambrose out wide found Djilali in the middle who tapped in from close range.

Rovers had strong claims for a penalty waved away in the final minutes when Jordan Mutch was fouled in the area.

Got to win games like this when they play well.

Referee bottled not giving Rovers a nailed on penalty in the last minute, was it because Neil Warnock is the Palace manager and he would have been waiting for him at the final whistle? I wonder!
