Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United battled out an entertaining 0-0 draw with both defences on top.
Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll made one change from the side that beat Norwich in midweek.
Dean Shiels came into the midfield in place on Mark Wilson who dropped down to the bench.
Billy Sharp had a great chance to give Rovers a perfect start in the first minute but Leeds defender Andy Hughes just managed to get a block in on his goal bound shot.
James Coppinger, who scored a hat trick in midweek, looked full of confidence and he was next to try his luck but his long-range effort drifted harmlessly wide.
Martin Woods was next to go close for the home side when his free kick into the middle was missed by the Leeds defence and Higgs in the Leeds goal managed to keep it out.
David Somma had Leeds best chance in the opening twenty five minutes, his fierce left foot shot was pushed onto the bar by Neil Sullivan.
It was Rovers turn next to hit the woodwork when Shiels curling root foot shot from the edge of the area hit the outside of the post.
The best chance of the half fell to Somma when he was played through on goal but luckily for Rovers his weak effort was straight at Sullivan.
Another Martin Woods free kick once again caused the Leeds defence problems, this time George Friend saw his flick header just drift wide of the post.
Simon Gillett was next to have a go for Rovers but his long-range shot hit Bradley Johnson and went out for a corner.
Davide Somma had an early chance for the visitors in the second half, he dragged his shot wide when through on goal.
James Coppinger almost nipped in when he nearly got on the end of a poor headed back pass by Andy Hughes.
The visitors were looking the slightly better side in the second half and both Gradel and McCormack forced Sullivan into saves.
Leeds thought they had taken the lead when Somma scored but the assistant was quick to raise his flag for offside.
Rovers were struggling to get their usual passing game going and Sean O`Driscoll decided to make a couple of changes with just over ten minutes remaining, Brian Stock and Waide Fairhurst replacing John Oster and Dean Shiels.
James O`Connor gave the home fans a few nervous moments near the end when he almost diverted a Leeds cross into his own goal but luckily, it just drifted wide of the post.
Rovers had a good chance in the dying minutes when they won a free kick in a dangerous position but Martin Woods fired the ball straight into the wall.
Waide Fairhurst was almost through on goal shortly afterwards, only a last ditch Leeds tackle thwarted the youngster.
An entertaining 0-0 draw with both sides looking to win the game, the result sees Rovers climb to third in the table and Leeds into sixth.
