Doncaster Rovers were undone at table toppers Queens Park Rangers by three second half strikes.
In an even first half both Martin Woods and James O`Connor had great chances to open the scoring for Rovers.
Paddy Kenny in the Rangers goal produced an excellent diving save to deny Woods from a free kick that hit the post, the rebound fell to O`Connor and just when it looked like he was going to score Walker got back to clear his goal bound effort.
Jamie Mackie has been in great goalscoring form for Rangers this season and he had the home side`s best chance of the half, but Sullivan saved his effort.
Rangers took the lead early in the second half when a corner wasn`t cleared and Gorkss rifled into the roof of the net.
Coppinger came close to equalising for Rovers but his effort agonisingly came back off the bar.
Helguson thought he had made it two when he put the ball into the net after he had regained his feet, following a dive at his feet by Sullivan, but the referee had already blown the whistle and awarded a penalty.
Taarabt stepped up to make it 2-0 from the spot and finish the game off as a contest with only nine minutes remaining.
There was still time for Gorkss to grab his second of the game when he rose well to head in from a corner.
