Doncaster Rovers lost for the second time in four days after conceding a late Gary McSheffrey goal against Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll made two changes from the side beaten at Qpr on Saturday, Adam Lockwood and Sam Hird coming in for Mustapha Dumbuya and Simon Gillett.
The home side made a dream start inside two minutes when Gunnarsson drilled his shot across Sullivan from close range after good work from Ward.
Martin Woods had Rovers first meaningful chance but his shot went wide of the post.
Rovers were trying to get back on terms with O`Connor, Martis and Coppinger all having chances but not being able to find a way past Westwood in the Coventry goal.
Shelton Martis was withdrawn half way through the half when Mustapha Dumbuya replaced him in the Rovers defence.
Billy Sharp got Rovers back on level terms just before half time when his low shot from inside the area found the bottom corner.
Sharp`s goal was to be the last meaningful action of the half and the sides went in on level terms.
Lee Carsley had the first chance of the second half but his shot went harmlessly wide.
Woods had Rovers first effort of the second half but his shot goes wide of the target.
Sam Hird thought he`d given Rovers the lead but his effort is excellently saved by Westwood.
Sullivan is next to be called into action in the Rovers goal when he saves from Platt.
Sam Hird again goes close but once again, Westwood once again denies the Rovers defender.
Rovers are looking the more likely winners and Martin Woods sees an effort goes wide.
Despite their pressure, Rovers are dealt a cruel blow when McSheffrey headed the home side back into the lead from a Gunnarsson cross with just four minutes remaining.
Rovers tried to find a winner in added time and both Coppinger and Stock went close.
Adam Lockwood had one last chance for Rovers but his header went wide of the post.
For the second time in four days Rovers have been unlucky on their travels and again have come away with no points.
