Rovers and Forest share the points

Doncaster Rovers and Nottingham Forest battled out a 1-1 draw at the Keepmoat with both goals coming in five first half minutes.

Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll made three changes from the side that lost to Coventry in midweek, Simon Gillett, Mustapha Dumbuya and James Hayter all came back into the starting eleven.

John Oster had an early effort for Rovers but his long-range effort went well over the bar.

James Hayter was next to have a go, his effort from the edge of the area was blocked by a Forest defender.

Anderson came close to opening the scoring on twenty five minutes when his shot came back off the post.

Forest took the lead on twenty-eight minutes when Blackstock got on the end of an Anderson header following a corner.

Rovers were back on level terms within five minutes when Oster`s free kick found Lockwood at the back post and he headed firmly past Camp.

Forest finished the half strongly and Neil Sullivan was called upon twice to save long-range shots from Chris Cohen and Lewis McGugan.

An entertaining first half saw the sides go in level at the break.

The first chance of the second half came on the hour mark when Hayter met Sharp`s cross but couldn`t keep his header down.

Woods was next to have a chance but his shot was saved by Camp.

Hayter went close again when Camp somehow managed to keep out his header.

The closest Rovers came was with just four minutes remaining when Wilson saw his effort hit the bar.

Rovers had enjoyed much the better of the second half but couldn`t find the winning goal and had to settle for a point.

Had some great chances late on to take all three points

We had chances to win this game, Forest turned up with spoiling tactics and seemed happy to draw. No wonder they have drawn so many this season.
