Healy makes dream start

Doncaster Rovers turned round a first half deficit to come away with all three points against Millwall at the Keepmoat.

David Healy made a dream debut when he scored the winner for Rovers.

Rovers made two changes from the side that lost at Reading last week with Healy replacing Martin Woods and Wayne Thomas coming back in after his long lay off in place of Mustapha Dumbuya.

James Hayter had the first chance of the game when the Millwall defence blocked his shot, following a Rovers free kick.

Millwall took the lead on eleven minutes when Sullivan did not deal with Trotter`s header and Morison had an easy tap in from close range.

Healy had to wait until half the way through the first half but Forde easily saved his shot.

Oster was next to try his luck but his long-range effort was parried by Forde before he eventually claimed the ball.

Rovers were continuing to tray and find an equaliser, Coppinger, and O`Connor both went close in one attack.

Millwall almost doubled the lead when Trotter was played through, Sullivan this time managed to get a hand on the ball and clear it from danger and out for a corner.

Rovers went in at half time one down but looking capable of getting back into the game.

Dean Shiels thought he had good claims for a penalty early in the second half when he was brought down but as usual, the referee failed to give Rovers anything.

Rovers were looking more dangerous and Healy and Martis both had chances before they eventually got back on level terms on 56 minutes.

James Hayter made it two headed goals in successive games when he dived low to get on the end of a Joe Mills free kick.

Rovers were in the lead within minutes when a mix up at the back saw the ball eventually fall to Healy and he had the simplest of tap ins.

Trotter missed another great chance for the visitors when he found himself with time and space but shot straight at the legs of Sullivan.

The game was now becoming stretched and both sides had chances to add to the score line.

Healy had a couple of chances for Rovers whilst at the other end Morison and Marquis missed for the visitors.

Steve Brooker replaced Healy late on and he had the last chance of the game when his shot went into the side netting.

A good three points for Rovers that sees them climb back into the top half of the table in twelfth place.

Rovers now have two tricky away games coming up at Burnley and Portsmouth in the next week who were both playing in the Premiership last season.

Was an important result with two hard away games coming up. Great that Healy got a goal to boost his confidence.

I expected him to score, hopefully its the first of many. If he does well can Rovers afford to sign him in January?
