Doncaster Rovers conceded two goals in the dying minutes to lose against promotion chasing Cardiff City.
Rovers started the game well with both Mills and Coppinger producing good crosses into the middle but no Rovers player could produce a killer touch.
Franck Moussa then really should have put Rovers ahead when he was one on one with Heaton in the Cardiff goal but his poor effort failed to trouble the goal.
Cardiff then took the lead with their first meaningful effort when good work by Bothroyd eventually found Burke who drilled the ball in from inside the area.
Simon Gillett had a good chance to get Rovers level but Heaton produced a good save to deny the Rovers midfielder.
Rovers continued to press and Shelton Martis headed wide from a John Oster corner.
Moussa then saw his long-range effort saved by Heaton.
Despite all Rovers pressure they could find a way back into the game and found themselves one down at the break.
Cardiff started the second half brightly and Olofinjana saw his shot saved by Woods.
Moussa had Rovers first chance of the second half but Heaton saved his shot.
Coppinger then tried his luck twice in the space of a few minutes from range but neither troubled Heaton.
Woods then saved well to deny Whittingham at the other end.
Rovers finally got back on level terms with just twelve minutes remaining when James Coppinger beat Heaton from 20 yards.
The goal spurred Rovers on and Moussa headed straight at Heaton after a good cross from Coppinger.
Cardiff went back in front in the final minute of normal time from a free kick, having only been on the pitch a matter of minutes.
The goal was a cruel blow for Rovers who looked like they was going to win at least a deserved point.
Euell had a chance to find a second equaliser for Rovers but he headed over the bar in the dying seconds.
Koumas scored his second goal when Bellamy battled to win the ball and sent Koumas clear who made no mistake.
It was the final kick of the game as Rovers were condemned to another defeat.
