Rovers slip deeper into trouble

Doncaster Rovers are now looking nervously over their shoulders after another defeat saw the gap between them and the bottom three closed to five points.

Whilst Doncaster lost 3-1 at Hull City Both Scunthorpe and Preston won to increase the pressure.

Rovers fell behind to a Richard Garcia effort inside ten minutes but they was soon level when Franck Moussa blasted home after James Coppinger`s effort came back off the post.

Hull retook the lead from the penalty spot through Matt Fryatt after a silly foul by Shelton Martis.

Fryatt scored his second early in the second half from close range to finish the game off as a contest.

Rovers now get ready for their biggest game of the season on Good Friday when they entertain fourth from bottom Crystal Palace with victory almost guaranteeing survival for the winners.
