Another defeat for Rovers

Doncaster Rovers slipped to their sixth defeat in seven championship games this season at Reading and stay firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.

There was a recall for veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan, whilst Shelton Martis returned in defence after a long lay off.

Reading enjoyed the best of the chances during a goalless first half with Jimmy Kebe forcing Sullivan into a good save inside ten minutes.

The home side took the lead in the 52nd minute when Neil Sullivan spilled an hopeful long ball and Simon Church was there to tap into an open goal.

Reading doubled their lead seven minutes later when Adam Le Fondre fired home his fist goal for the club.

James Coppinger had Rovers best chance but his effort came back off a post.

Rovers have now gone nineteen league games since their last win, dating back to March 1st.

Rovers now have two home games coming up, starting with Crystal Palace and they must start to pick up some points to catch the sides above them.

Are Rovers players fit enough to last ninety minute. Not only with the injuries but how many goals in the past few seasons have they conceded in the second half compared to the first half.
